- McNamara, John Joseph, 1918-2001; Southern Cross (Newspaper : 1946-1951)
A bull labelled 'new record trade level' has tossed the leader of the New Zealand National Party, Sidney Holland, off balance. Holland is portrayed as a matador and is holding a cape reading 'N.Z. is wrecked'. McNamara's cartoon character, Iti, watches from his perch on the bull's back. Holland's opposition to the Labour Government was hampered by a strong economy.
