Description

Drawn on a Lands and Survey template, the map shows a survey of part of Section 512 on Willis Street near Lambton Quay, Wellington, belonging to Jacob Joseph. The surveyed property, totalling 36 perches, comprises several dwellings, made from either wood, iron or brick. A right of way is shown. Neighbouring properties are owned by McDowell (housing the Blundell Brothers' Evening Post), Gilmour (a hotel), and the Roman Catholic bishop (a church).

Includes an enlarged diagram of the northeast corner of the property.

Before copying, map signed on behalf of assistant surveyor-general, approved by Jacob Joseph's solicitors, and written on map: A/463; App[licatio]n 2365.
