- Description
A group of men stand around in a pub watching a car race on television as they drink. The explanation for the emotional reaction by one of the punters when he sees a BMW win a race is explained by the sad news that he owned one that was repossessed after the stockmarket crash. Refers to 'Black Monday', 19 October, 1987, when stock markets around the world crashed. New Zealand's market was hit especially hard, falling about 60% from its 1987 peak, and taking several years to recover. In Australia and New Zealand the 1987 crash is also referred to as Black Tuesday because of the timezone difference. - (Information Wikipedia)
