View of Russian whalecatchers at night anchored in Wellington Harbour off Kaiwharawhara. Photographed by an Evening Post staff photographer on the 4th of April 1958. This photograph was published in the Evening Post on Saturday the 5th of April, 1958, page 12. Part of a Russian whaling fleet of 27 ships which arrived in Wellington Harbour in the afternoon of the 4th of April 1958. The name of the factory ship was `Slava.'
