Proofs of plates and some source material, all early images of Maori moko, artifacts and way of life. No.s 1, 2 & 3 are drawings done by Maori of their own moko

Some images based on Augustus Earle and George French Angas. Artists also include Hugh Boscawen, Augustus Koch, and J S Allen. Many images are unattributed to an artist

The images of Maori battle positions drawn by Augustus Koch, are based on posed photographs, with John White as one of the participants holding the various weapons
