Shows and interprets an art work entitled "The gift", by Sally Griffin. The commentary is by Peter Lee, Te Rore-a-Maeaeaea. The Griffin work is seen as a political interpretation of our past, and features David Lange, Harry Holland, Helen Clark, Bob Jones, Geoffrey Palmer, Roger Douglas, Rod Deane. The "cultural chaos of monetarism" is discussed, as is Hayek's "Road to serfdom". Taupiri Mountain is represented symbolically. There is also discussion of Waikato Maoridom, Te Rata Mahuta, Manu Motuhake, the Ratana movement.
