Description

In the first scene Winston Peters, Leader of New Zealand First is holding up a newspaper to his unseen audience and trying his best to be calm, modest and pleasant. The headlines in the paper read 'Auckland bookshop owner refused visa'. In the second scene Winston Peters has flung the paper to the floor and is screaming with unholy glee because he is right and everyone else wrong. Refers to the case in which Peters using parliamentary privilege, accused Jim Peron, an Auckland bookshop owner, of being a paedophile, because of material and statements originating twenty years ago. It seems likely that Winston Peters was using Jim Peron to get at other MPs who have supported him and also to stir the child abuse pot.
