- Description
Scrimshaw left Wellington as a member of the New Zealand Expeditionary Force in December 1914 bound for Egypt. The journal describes his journey to the Middle East and his participation in the Gallipoli Campaign and later his involvement in fighting on the Western Front in France. Also includes addresses, notes of correspondence sent and received and notes. The volume is in a canvas covered bag on which is printed `No 2 NZ General Hospial, Walton-on-Thames, Xmas, 1916.'
