Copy of an engraving after William Hodges 'View in the Island of New Caledonia' from the second voyage to the Pacific of Captain James Cook, published 1777. Shows Kanak houses amidst native vegetation and birds, with three people in the centre. Verso shows handwritten text in Dutch.
