New Zealand Commander carves the turkey on Christmas Day, Chateau Segard, 1917
The New Zealand Commander, General Russell, carving a turkey for officers seated around a table on Christmas Day at Divisional Headquarters during World War I. There are glasses and bottles on the table, including a whiskey bottle and a soda siphon. Festive decorations hang from the ceiling. Also present is Henry Maitland 'Jumbo' Wilson, seated behind left.
