Carol Cunningham of Auckland presenting the first pressing of a record "Haere-mai" which was produced as part of a tourist promotion campaign called "Haere-mai Year". Looking on is Mr D Grylls who was the foreman of the Petone factory where the record was made. Photographed on the 20th of April 1966 by an Evening Post staff photographer.
Carol Cunningham was the "Miss Maori Welcome" for the focal point of the project. She was also a singer, and introduced each track on the "Haere-mai recording.
