Shows a father hugging his son who is surprised at this sudden unexpected show of affection. On the floor is a newspaper with the headline 'River tragedy claims seven'. Refers to the father's gratitude that his child is safe in the face of the tragedy when seven people, 6 students and a teacher, died 15th April, 2008, after a school group got into difficulty in a flooded stream in the Mangatepopo Gorge in the Tongariro National Park. The Elim Christian College students from Howick in Auckland had been taking part in adventure training at the Sir Edmund Hillary Outdoor Pursuits Centre in Turangi.
