- Circa 1910s
- Part one of a two-part view of ribbon-development along the road through Paeroa. It shows mostly commercial buildings, a few houses, and a church in the foreground. There is a field in the immediate foreground, and trees and fields with a few houses in the distance beyond the road. Photograph taken by an unidentified photographer. For part two see APG-1778-1/4. Note in the Godber Accessions List "From Evening Post Collection" Part of a collection of images relating to the Thames and Hauraki areas (from APG-1772-1/2 to APG-1779-1/2). The location was identified from a building on the extreme right of this image, which links with the one of the extreme left of the second negative. In the second image, the buildings of James McAndrew & Co. Ltd., (Ohinemuri Steam, Sash & Door Factory, The Esplanade, Paeroa) are visible, allowing identification of place from Wise's Post Office Directory (1914 edition).
