Photographs of Christchurch, shipping, portraits, and general New Zealand views. Collection includes some photographs of Scott's Antarctic expedition and the Macquarie Islands. Photographs made 1880s-1920s by photographers employed or contracted by The Press.

Physical Description: ¼, 1/1 and 1/2 plate glass negatives

Transfers: On 21 August 1953, several hundred photographs from this collection showing prize horses, sheep and cattle, as well as general views of agricultural and pastoral shows, were transferred to the Department of Agriculture..
