The cartoon shows a group of very fat men drinking as much as they can in order to get more bottles for the boat they are making out of plastic bottles - trouble is the more they drink the fatter they get and the bigger the boat will have to be. Refers to sailboat largely constructed from 12,500 recycled plastic bottles that took four months to cross the Pacific Ocean on a journey meant to raise awareness about the perils of plastic waste. The crew of the Plastiki, an 18-metre catamaran that weathered fierce ocean storms during its 8,000 nautical miles at sea, left San Francisco on March 20, stopping along the way at various South Pacific island nations including Kiribati and Samoa.
