Letters, mostly to Sophie Johnston

Comprises letters mostly from Meta Riddiford to her mother, Sophie Johnston, but also includes letters from D H S Riddiford to Mrs Johnston, from Meta to her father, Sydney Johnston, and to her sister, Nancy; a feather from a woodcock `used by artists for painting' and an account of Booty Levin's wedding. Also includes letters written to her family from the convent at Roehampton and travels with her relatives during that time (1899-1901), and a letter written describing the death of the Reverend Mother Stuart, also of Roehampton, at the beginning of the war.
