A Climax locomotive, with a load of logs, crossing Mangatukutuku viaduct. Taken by Albert Percy Godber.
This stretch of railway was privately owned by Ellis & Burnand, sawmillers and timber merchants. This firm owned at least 80 miles of railway at Manunui, Ongarue and Mangapeehi.
