Description

Overlooking Thames from Bird-In-Hand Hill, circa 1900. In the middle distance is the Thames Central School, and opposite the school, Farley Smith's residence (with tree growing at street frontage). The chimney of the Queen of Beauty Mine is in the immediate foreground to the right. The Burke Street Wharf (Thames Wharf, Goods Wharf) and Moanataiari can be seen in the distance.
