Description

Christchurch, in May 1860. Looks north from Provincial Buildings showing Armagh Street and the corner of Cambridge Terrace (later occupied by the Magistrates' court). The houses in the background are in the neighbourhood of the Normal school site along Kilmore Street. Photograph taken by Alfred Charles Barker.
