Shows the small steamer "Lady Barkley" being loaded with trunks by two men, bearing heavy trunks on their backs, while three women passengers walk on board along the gangplank behind their trunks. A few buildings on shore are sketched in and a man in naval uniform, possibly the captain or harbour master, directs operations from the shore.
