The programme included: Living picture of Maori life in New Zealand - Tableau - the Maori at home; Maggie Papakura the famous guide of the Hot Lakes District, Whakorero - speech by chief Mita Taupopoki; Maori love ditties, Poi dances, Titi Torea (stick game), Hakas and posture dances, Iwa the famous Maori contralto, "The legend of Hinenioa [Hinemoa]" by Maggie Papakura; Poi games including "Hua hoki au" and the famous canoe poi dance; Recitation - scenes from the past, by Hoani Nuku; maori war cries by the Arawa Maoris; "Waiata Poi", sung by Iwa; finishing with "God save the King".
