Description

Rakiihia Tau leading a haka in Parliament's public gallery. Ngai Tahu's chief negociator, Sir Tipene O'Regan is seated centre front. Photographed by an Evening Post staff photographer on the 25th of September 1997.

This incident took place when a bill returning control of greenstone to the South Island's Ngai Tahu tribe was passed in Parliament.
