The collection comprises diaries and workbooks from 1960 onward, including time on Hydra (Greece), England and Spain; corrected typescript and final copy typescripts of published and unpublished novels including `Bees on a string' which has been described as a `broad farce about the then New Zealand public service' and a memoir, `Juan Calos and the badass Belgian'. Also includes inward and outward personal and business correspondence.

Wallis is a New Zealand writer who has lived most of his life in England and Europe. A New Zealander who has lived most of his adult life abroad. Worked in publishing in England (for Mitchell Beazley). Has had three novels published - Point of Origin in 1973, and two young person's science fiction, Starbloom, and The Mills of space.
