Shows Leonard Tripp, president of the Wellington branch of the Royal Empire Society, reading a message from former New Zealand Governor General Lord Bledisloe. He is standing at the foot of the statue of Queen Victoria (not visible), surrounded by a group. A woman holds a large wreath. Taken by an unidentified photographer for the Evening Post.
