Description

View of Cowes Bay taken from a high vantage point above the bay and looking north. Pakatoa Island is just visible in the far distance on the right. A ferry is moored at the wharf. The Cowes Bay boarding house / hotel? is in the immediate foreground on the left. People can be seen crowded around the pavilion or passenger waiting room (?) in the middle distance near the end of the wharf. Taken by William Archer Price in early 1900s.
