Gate Pā
Gate Pah, Pukehinahina
Ridge known as Pukehinahina (Gate Pā) was the scene of the Battle of Gate Pā on 29 April 1864. Now a residential surburban area of Tauranga, between the head of the Waimapu Estuary to the south-east and the Kopurereua River, which flows into the Waikareao Estuary, on the north-east side.
