Judges Bay

Judge's Bay, Taurarua

In 1841 Judge Martin and Attorney General Swainson arrived in Auckland and built their houses in the Bay. Swainson built on the west side and Martin on the east side of the bay. Consequently the bay was became known as Judge's Bay.
