Description: Photographs taken during Pascoe family holidays to Pelorous Sound and Te Towaka at the head of Hallam Cove. People in the images include family members, passengers on the mail launch from Picton, people waiting on jetties, and people associated with the farm at Te Towaka. There are views down onto the homestead at Te Towaka from the slopes of Mount Shewell, and images of farm activities. Many photographs are of the sounds and the hills surrounding them. A group of photographs in this collection continues on from the previous box. Though the rest were dated 1950/51, there are later images mixed in. Some are from "Half a day in a mail launch" most of which are in the previous box and dated 1958/59. Quantity: 71 b&w original photographic print(s).

Description: Comprises diary or report of a surveying expedition 27 Oct-21 Dec (nd) which left Nelson for the Marlborough Sounds via the Boulder Bank, Croiselles, Anakiwa, the Rai and Whangamoa in which Paske (presumably the writer) mentions meeting settlers and local Maori, food collected and eaten (including fuschia berries), records the death of Simon (a Maori) and the Maori reaction to it and other details. Letters from Lucy Jervois, possibly Paske's aunt, to her sister and brother re Paske's death (12 Jun 1886), and to her sister-in-law Amelia re same (19 Jun 1886); letter from Mr Jervois probably to Paske (snr). Includes court record re Paske being intestate. Also contains `Report on the surveys of New Zealand 1885-1886', by James McKerrow, referring to the death of Paske on a surveying expedition. Description: Photographs taken on a Pascoe family holiday in late December 1958 and January 1959. They took the mail launch from Havelock to Te Towaka at the head of Hallam Cove. A number of photographs of the children show them in a rowing boat, with a kitten, on the beach, and in camp. They travelled extensivly around the western Pelorus Sound area returning from Te Towaka to Picton via Havelock. Places photographed include Savill Bay, Elaine Bay, Te Towaka, Mount Shewell, Hallam Cove, Fitzroy Bay, Croiselles Harbour, Tenyson Inlet, French Pass, Waikawa Bay, McLarens Bay, Okuri Bay, Picton, and the motor camp at Picton.
