Aldis, Morton, 1866?-1948

Auckland lawyer, author on international arbitration and peace. Was secretary of the Auckland Branch of the International Arbitration and Peace Association during the period 1905 to 1910. Later, from 1922 to 1926, was secretary to the trustees of the Jubilee Institute for the Blind, Parnell Auckland, and in 1932 he published a booklet `Betrayal of the Blind' in which he attempted to discredit the management of the institute and its director, Clutha Mackenzie.
