SSN-604 (Submarine)

USS Haddo (SSN-604), a Permit-class submarine, was the second ship of the United States Navy to be named for the haddo, a pink salmon fish. Launched in August 1962; decommissioned in June 1991. Disposed of by submarine recycling in 1992.

Visited Auckland on the 19th of January 1979 and provoked a protest from those against nuclear armed or powered ships.
