Schrader, Ben, 1965?-2024

Born in Christchuch and grew up in Wellington. Historian, author and interviewer for oral history project on state housing. Taught urban and public history at Victoria University of Wellington, and also worked at Manatū Taonga Ministry of Culture and Heritage New Zealand Pouhere Taonga. Was a member of the Professional Historian' Association of New Zealand/Aotearoa (PHANZA). Author of "We call it home: a history of state housing in New Zealand" published 2005 and "The Big Smoke: New Zealand Cities 1840-1920" published 2016.
