Maimai (Ship : 1943-1966)

Constructed in 1943 at Port Chalmers as a minesweeper for Royal New Zealand Navy. Converted to fishing trawler in 1946 and under command of Skipper Jock Cardno 1947-1966. Broken up in 1966. (Information from http://www.nzmaritimeindex.org.nz/ixsearchvessels.asp accessed 21 August 2006) Trawler which had a fire while in Wellington in 1950.
