Shows two houses on the flat by the lake and distant sheep yards.
L G D Acland's "Early Canterbury runs" (1951) page 309 says that W C Walker bought the rights to the Lower Lake Heron station in 1865 for the Walker brothers and sold it sometime between 1865 and 1870. However this painting is dated 1864.
