Three members of the Myanmar Military Junta stand beneath the balloons at a social and listen to a radio report about the landing on Mars of a NASA spacecraft with the task of assessing conditions for the sustaining of life. One of them comments that he is glad the spacecraft didn't land in the Irrawaddy Delta. Refers to the reluctance of the Junta to allow foreign aid into Burma in the aftermath of Cyclone Nardis which has resulted in much unnecessary loss of life.
