Circus. Toured New Zealand for the first time in 1928, featuring artistes La Belle Marie, the Delevante Sisters (whirling dental artists), Le Henri (horseman), the 3 Dolly Vardons and Alberto, the wizard on the wire; La Belle Vera (butterfly dance on horseback), the Ishmailia Arabs, whirlwind tumblers of the Sahara; Lizzie Mackay (bareback rider); Klento (comedian); La Belle Maisie (trapeze artist), Mundoon (comedian), Master James (balancer), Daphne and Dorrie (juvenile contortionists); clowns Georgo, Ollo and Bobo. Ponies Lone Star, Dempsey, Firpo, Bessie, Commodore. Jumbo the elephant (see Eph-B-CABOT-Scrapbook-vol-21, page ). Returned in 1938 and early 1939, using special trains. Also toured in 1940 and 1946.
