Known as Godfrey Bowen. World champion shearer in 1953. Established a training scheme for shearers in Britain, USA, Canada, Australia, Argentina, Chile and India; Set up Wool Board shearing schools based at Lincoln and Massey: Creator of the Bowen technique.
