Founding chairman and first president of the ACT Party of New Zealand. First elected to Parliament in 1996. List Member of Parliament for ACT. Minister of Local Government, Regulatory Reform, and Associate Minister of Commerce 2008- . Awarded QSO in 2013 New Year Honours for services as a Member of Parliament.
