Tipped into this songbook is a handwritten ms of `The shanty by the way' and this book also contains a stamp `The Balladeer, 203 Willis St, Wellington' from the Balladeer Coffee Tavern. Also includes the songbook `What have they done to the rain?' published by George and Wendy James for the Campaign for Nuclear Disarmament [CND] in 1965. Tipped into this book is a letter from Pete Seeger, the American folk singer and activist, congratulating George and Wendy on the publication of the songbook. Also includes a memorandum from R Stowell of Kaitaia for discussion by the CND National Committee on the subject of a direct action protest against French testing in the Pacific, dated 1964.
