Goldminer, businessman, bailiff and sportsman of Mackaytown. Born Papakura, the son of Martha Letitia Tullkin and John McWilliams, a policeman. With John McCombie, discovered a gold-bearing reef at Karangahake in 1882. He was prominent in athletic circles, especially in football. Married Francis Rosina Payne 1893. Died Waihi.
