Wife of Daniel Dougherty (1804?-1857), who arrived in New Zealand from Canada in 1842. Theirs was a runaway marriage in 1837, she aged 18 years. Her pionéer story is told in "The story of a New Zealand family" by Celia Manson. Mother of Robina Ladd (née Dougherty; 1838?-1867). Buried in the family plot at Bolton Street Cemetery, Wellington
