New Zealand National Party politician Robert Muldoon, with the ears of a pig (his nickname was 'Piggy'), dominates the picture, while behind him Jack Marshall says wistfully - 'Always a bridesmaid never a bride...' and the Prime Minister Keith Holyoake sticks his head into the sandcastle on which flies the flag 'I am STILL your leader!
Marshall was to replace Holyoake as leader of the National Party but was Prime Minister for less than a year and was ousted by Muldoon.
