- Forster, William James, 1851-1891; Roberto, Luigi, active 1870s-1890s
- Shows portrait of the American-built "Red Jacket" passenger ship, with three small triangular sails, and a steam funnel, making its way through a moderate swell on grey water. The sky is overcast and threatening. The ship has a grey hull with red highlights. Some six passengers stand at various points on the deck. This work may have had the signature W. Forster added. Although it resembles Forster's style, John Crowder, an expert in marine painting suggests that it may be the work of a prolific Neopolitan ship painter, Luigi Roberto Other Titles - [Roberto, Luigi] fl 1870s-1890s :S.
