Choate, Francis Desmond, 1916-2001

Cartoonist for the Auckland Star (Newspaper), Christchurch Star (Newspaper). Was also a cartoonist for the New Zealand Observer in the late 1940s. In 1953, he emigrated with his wife to the United Kingdom, where he continued to work as a political cartoonist (Information from his son, Paul Choate, U. K., email 3 May 2003)
