Description
Mostly World War 1939-1945 and the occupation of Japan 1946-1948. Contains non New Zealand material from this period, mostly official photographs. There is some World War 1914-1918 material, mainly war effort on the British home front. J Force, Korean War and Malaysian emergency material are in the form of official albums. Much of this material also has negatives The DA archives are also part of this collection. They were organised into files by the Historical Branch prior to them coming to the Turnbull Library. These files can be accessed through a card index in the Katherine Mansfield Reading Room.
