Born Woodville, living at Bainess, Palmerston North in 1993 in a rural farming partnership and was then on the council of the Open Polytechnic of NZ. Previously councillor on the Manwatau-Wanganui regional council, Federation of of Rural Women, active in WDFF, Massey University Council, USIS (awardee 1989), and on the Regional Employment Access Council and the North Island Adverse Event Trust. Also a JP. (RAS nominee 3)
