Lawyer, judge. New Zealand judge of the Supreme Court 1896-1921. See Who's Who in New Zealand (2 ed. 1925). See also DNZB (Vol 3, 1901-1920, p146-147, E2). A cartoon in the "NZ observer" entitled "Justice is not blind" showing his partiality in a divorce case, led to charges against the Observer.
