Labour MP for Ohariu, 1984-1995 ; United and later United Future MP for Ohariu, 1995-2017. Minister of Revenue 2005-2013. Minister of Internal Affairs 2014-2017. Announced his resignatoin from Parliament in August 2017, prior to the 2017 general election.
