Portrait painter, designer and worker in stained glass. Trained in art and design at the Wellington Technical School. In 1946 she completed a mural depicting the European settlement of New Zealand, which was purchased by the Petone Council. Worked at the Byam Shaw School of Drawing and Painting, England, 1951-1953. During the 1950s she painted portraits, but in the 1960s turned to stained glass window design and other church liturgy crafts. In 1972 Brian D L Thomas (q.v.) proposed her to membership and subsequently Fellowship of the British Society of Master Glass Painters. Many of her windows can be seen in St Pauls Cathedral, Wellington and in other churches around New Zealand

Description: Shows Jesus Christ standing in a mandorla shape with the symbols of the four evangelists around him. The elements of air, fire, earth, and water are depicted in abstract form around the mandorla. There is a double symbolism of the wind and flames of Pentecost, the living water and the tree of life for the healing of the nations. At the apex is a triquetra, a symbol for the Trinity.
