Kaihau, Henare, 1855-1920

Ngati Te Ata leader, politician, adviser to the Maori King. Born probably betwen 1854 and 1860 at Waiuku. Chief of Ngati-Teata. Member of Parliament for Western Maori 1896-1911. Father was Ahipene Kaihau. See DNZB (Vol 2, 1870-1900, p250-251)
