Walker, Malcolm, 1950-

Architect since 1976 and cartoonist since 1973. Cartoons published in Sunday News since 1975, Progressive Building since 1997, Architecture New Zealand since 1985 and New Zealand Doctor since 1987. Cartoons also appeared in Craccum 1973-1975, New Outlook 1985-1987 (?), Cut Examiner 1982-1983, Independent 1997-2000, Grace 1999-2000. (The following notes added 2011) Malcolm Walker is a recidivist cartoonist and illustrator who has drawn for many publications over far too many years. Newspapers include The Examiner, NBR, The Independent and Sunday News and also he has several books published. Currently he draws for NZ Doctor, Architecture NZ and is the daily cartoonist for the Dominion Post. He is the only New Zealand cartoonist to have his work reproduced in needlepoint by a Sydney craft group. By day he is an Auckland architect.
